FSCJ Frazer Stannard Carpentry & Joinery is where it all started. Frazer originally trained as a carpenter with a team of skilled craftsmen who traveled the length and breadth of the country helping projects stay on track and get finished on time. He eventually wanted to stay in one place so came home and founded Frazer Stannard Carpentry & Joinery in 1998. It went from strength to strength with projects like Hilton Hall, Quendon Hall and Grendon Hall and it soon got lot of attention from the heritage world. Their attention to detail, environmental and lasting approach still stands strong today.  Based in Papworth Everard Frazer Stannard Joinery is home to some of the best joinery in the region and is still at the forefront of design and technology where heritage meets the environmental needs we all have. We strive to maintain a historical timeline but are intent on making our own mark on that path for future generations to look back and admire. At Frazer Stannard Joinery we do our best to make the best sustainable choice for your project and will use vacuum glazed Accoya timber joinery which has excellent environmental credentials.

Beautifully Crafted Bespoke Joinery for every Era

  • Just outside Papworth Everade , our workshop is dedicated to creating exquisite doors and windows from the exceptional timbers like Accoya, AshOak, Tulip & Larch a testament to our commitment to quality, durability, and sustainability.
  •  Accoya wood, a material that elevates the ordinary with its 50 year guarantees. It's a Radiata Pine tree that grows to harvest in 25 years, 1/3 of the time for a similar softwood tree. The straws or fibres which make up the trees structure are so large that the Acetylation (vinegar treatment) can penetrate 100% of the timber giving it the edge over normal pressurised envelope treatments like taniolith E. It does not seasonally move or twist, swell or move in anyway so the paint, seals & glass all last far longer.
  •  Vacuum glass is the future of glazing. Its U-Value of 0.5 beating a 54mm thick treble glazed unit. It's only 8mm thick meaning that the timber sections can also be narrow and more authentic.
  • 14mm Heritage slim double glazing is the next best for your conservation project and hand drawn restoration glass across all our products depending on the permission and specification required. U-values as low as 1.1 W/m2K  with 8.5mm sight-lines
  • Argon filled warm edge double glazing units from 18mm up to 28mm thick can used if your building is not listed or in a conservation area.

Tried and test glass types are supplied from Safeguard, LandVac & Histoglass.
